Sycamore Shoals is a real gem. We love this park. Great walking path with Watauga River views. Perfect walking for family and pets. Wonderful programs such as Liberty play, Memorial Day concert, reenactments, and more. One of our favorite places in Elizabethton.

Very nice and educational museum. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Outside the fort replica is great for all ages. Multiple events throughout the spring, summer, and early fall. Historic renditions of colonial times and living. Great for the family.

The museum & fort are great. We visited for the Colonial Harvest Celebration & had a terrific time watching demonstrations, learning about colonial life, & even trying some of the games.
