Holiday History: Naturally Colored Easter Eggs

Drop in between 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM and join Museum Curator Chad Bogart as he shares how colonial Americans

celebrated Easter and other springtime holidays such as All Fool’s Day and May Day. Learn how the early Dutch settlers

colored Easter eggs with beets, cabbage, onions, and other natural dyes. Meet in the Talbot Cabin at Fort Watauga.

Be aware that the park visitor center will close from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
